Dr. Joshua T. Goodwin – Co-Founder & CEO

Hi! I’m Josh.  I’m not a therapist. I’m the Co-Founder and CEO of Operation True North. Although, I prefer to think of myself as Chief Office Minion for Cheri, Michelle, and Kat. My job is to help run the business side of Operation True North and to remove any obstacles from your path to receiving the highest level of therapy from our team. I’m a retired US Air Force Master Sergeant & Federal Law Enforcement Special Agent.  If I can help in any way, please feel free to reach out to me at 720-379-3759 or at joshuagoodwin@otncolorado.com

Katherine V Garcia Drug & Alcohol Counselor, MA, LAC, MAC

Katherine V Garcia Drug & Alcohol Counselor, MA, LAC, MAC

Hi! I’m Katherine, though most people call me Kat. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), and Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) with over 17 years of experience in mental health and substance use treatment.

I work full-time as a Behavioral Health Specialist in a rural K–12 school district, supporting students across all age groups. In my part-time private practice, I specialize in working with Colorado’s first responder and agricultural communities. I provide trauma-informed, client-centered therapy rooted in understanding the unique stressors, cultural dynamics, and demands of these high-impact roles.

I am an approved provider for Colorado Path4EMS and have supported the EMS community since before the program’s official launch in 2019. As someone who grew up on farms and ranches, I’m also proud to partner with the Colorado Agricultural Addiction and Mental Health Program through Operation True North, bringing accessible, relevant care to rural populations.

I offer therapy to individuals and families of all ages and backgrounds, with a commitment to culturally responsive, stigma-reducing support. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real-world understanding, focused on helping clients feel empowered and seen.

If I can help in any way, please feel free to reach out to me at 720-379-3759 or at learnmore@otncolorado.com
